Central Highlands Water delivers water and sewerage services to customers and communities in Victoria’s Central Highlands region. It provides water, sewerage, recycled water and trade waste services to over 140,000 residents and 5,000 businesses.
Central Highland Water’s service area covers some 9,000 square kilometres, including the City of Ballarat and the communities of Maryborough, Daylesford and surrounding areas.

Central Highlands Water manages 15 water supply systems across its service area. The largest systems in the region are Ballarat, Maryborough, Daylesford, Clunes, Beaufort, Avoca and Forest Hill. Water is sourced from various reservoirs and groundwater bores within these systems.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible for Central Highlands Water’s strategic planning and is accountable to the Minister for Water for the corporation’s performance. The Board is supported and advised by the Executive, who oversee the corporation’s day-to-day management under the leadership of the Managing Director.
