[On-screen text: Enhancing Victoria's water grid]

[Speaker]

Just as a road network allows us to travel from place to place, Victoria's Water Grid connects sources such as dams and reservoirs via pipes, pumps and rivers.

The result is a complex system featuring a combination of rainfall dependent and rainfall independent sources of water.

The grid works to protect Victoria from future stresses such as drought, climate change and population growth.

Under the right circumstances, the grid allows Victoria's water managers to move water to where it is most valued, bringing all parties together to oversee the management of the grid is one way we are working to maintain the security and affordability of water for all Victorians.
