The Make Every Drop Count advertising campaign is back and appearing in newspapers, radio, social channels, TV on-demand and billboards across Victoria.
The Make Every Drop Count campaign supports Victorians to play an active role in caring for our state’s water future. It’s about empowering households and communities with simple, practical actions that collectively help protect a resource we all rely on.
In response to a much drier than average two years in most parts of the state, Victoria’s water storage's have been falling. Compounding lower reservoir inflows is the fact that in drier and hotter conditions household water use rises.
For example, average household use across Melbourne reached 253 litres per person per day in the last week of January. This is more than 100 litres per person per day above the target use across Melbourne of 150 litres per person per day.
The Make Every Drop Count campaign reminds the community to be water wise and what they can do to help avoid potential water restrictions.
