Westernport Water accesses water from various sources. The primary source is the Tennent Creek catchment via the Candowie Reservoir. Additional water is supplied from the Bass River, Corinella Aquifer and the Melbourne water supply system.
Water is treated at the Ian Bartlett Water Purification Plant (IBWPP) at Candowie Reservoir, Almurta. It is then pumped to waterline communities and the San Remo Basin for distribution to customers.
