Lower Murray Water is one of the few hybrid water businesses in Victoria. It delivers urban water services for residential and non-residential customers, and rural water services for irrigators, private diverters and the Mallee Catchment Management Authority.
Lower Murray Water provides services to around 74,000 urban residents, 4,700 irrigation customers and several hundred private diverters. It is the most remote water corporation from Melbourne, servicing an area from Kerang to the South Australian Border along the Murray River.

Drinking water sources
Lower Murray Water manages 16 water supply systems. Most of the drinking water it treats is drawn directly from the Murray River. The only exception is in the township of Kerang, where additional water may be sourced from the Loddon River or from an irrigation channel operated by Goulburn-Murray Water.

Board of Directors
