Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water logoGrampians Wimmera Mallee Water (GWMWater) has one of the largest geographic footprints of all Victorian water corporations. Its service area includes 13 full or part local government areas and covers 62,000 square kilometres, or 25 percent of Victoria.

It delivers water and sewerage services to 72,000 residents and close to 5,000 non-residential customers across its service area. It also supplies rural water to over 10,000 properties for farming, stock and other purposes.

Drinking water sources

GWMWater harvests water in the Grampians, extracts water from groundwater bores and pumps water from the Murray River, before storing, treating, transferring and distributing water across its service area.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is responsible for GWMWater’s strategic planning and is accountable to the Victorian Minister for Water for the corporation’s performance. The Board is supported and advised by the Executive, who oversee the corporation’s day-to-day management under the leadership of the Managing Director.
