The project includes an 84-km underground pipeline to connect the plant to a transfer main at Berwick and then to Cardinia Reservoir.
The plant is powered by an 87-km underground power supply co-located in the same easement with the pipeline. All of the power used for the plant and pipeline will be offset through the purchase of renewable energy credits sourced by AquaSure through AGL.
Fibre optic cables have been installed with the power supply for plant, power and pipeline operations.
