Water is used for many purposes by a variety of users in the Latrobe region; to supply drinking water to towns, to keep parks and gardens green, create economic opportunities through industry and agriculture, and is critical to support the environmental and traditional owner values of the Latrobe River system and downstream Gippsland Lakes system.
We have compiled the following fact sheets to explain the various uses for water across the region, as well as the interactive Latrobe water map (coming soon) that conveniently displays where water comes from and how it is used across the Latrobe region.
