In 2016, the Victorian Government committed to a fourth tranche of the environmental contribution (EC4). The fourth tranche, which commenced on 1 July 2016, raised $537.1 million over four years to fund delivery of the Government’s long term water plan, Water for Victoria.
All EC4 funding has now been allocated and, as at the end of June 2020, $532.7 million has been spent, leaving $4.5 million left to spend in 2020/21 due to the phasing of project completion dates.
An evaluation of the impact and effectiveness of the fourth tranche of the EC has been undertaken, with the full evaluation report available for download.
