The Victorian Catchment Management Council (VCMC) is the government's key advisory body guiding the strategy on catchment management and the condition of land and water resources. The Council has a state-wide focus and embraces a long-term vision:
Victoria will have healthy rivers flowing through ecologically sustainable and productive catchments.
As a member of the VCMC, you will have the opportunity to influence and strengthen the future of integrated catchment management in Victoria. Relevant skills and experience include one or more of the following:
- building community partnerships
- integrated catchment, water and coastal management
- strategic planning to address the drivers of change
- enhancing community awareness of Victoria's catchments
- analysis and interpretation of environmental information.
