The Water Market Watch app will help water users and people interested in Victoria's water market stay up-to-date with water market information anywhere, anytime.

It provides instant access to the latest allocation announcements, spill determinations, trade limits and market prices. The app can be customised to provide alerts for only the information you want, when you want it.

Because it draws information from the Victorian Water Register, users can be sure they are viewing an authoritative and timely picture of the market. It covers key water shares and allocations relating to the market in northern Victoria, as well as some information about southern irrigation districts.

This is one of the ways DELWP is delivering on the Government's commitments in Water for Victoria to:

  • provide clear information about water resources to the community using new technologies and pathways for providing timely, targeted and fit-for-purpose water resource information (action 8.10)
  • increase water market transparency and information sharing (action 9.4).

The Water Market Watch app is available from the Apple store and Google Play store, and the team will be promoting the app as part of information and networking sessions with irrigators throughout July.
