The program is funded through the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning’s Sustainable Irrigation Program and irrigator salinity offset charges administered by the Mallee CMA.

On 1 October, landholder Owen Lloyd showed how the program had improved irrigation practices on his Mildura dried fruit farm. Mr Lloyd received a 50% incentive to upgrade his irrigation scheduling equipment.
