Small Towns Water Quality Fund
Round 4 of the Small Towns Water Quality Fund opens
Up to $3.93 million is available for projects in Round 4 of the STWQF, which was opened by Peter Walsh, Minister for Water, on the 1st July 2011. Registrations of Interest must be received by the 1st September 2011.Seeking Sustainable Solutions for Water and Sewerage in Small Communities
The Victorian Government allocated funding of $16 million capital under the 2007/2008 State Budget to the Small Towns Water Quality Fund, with four rounds of funding, beginning in 2008/2009.
The fund will help develop infrastructure in small towns across regional Victoria. Funded projects will be proportional to the scale of existing issues and provide sustainable solutions. Water corporations and rural councils are invited to submit a Registration of Interest for proposed projects on behalf of their community to DSE.
Registrations of Interest will then be assessed against evaluation criteria and a Business Case will be invited from proponents submitting priority projects that can supply at least 1:1 funding and which align with Government priorities.
