ResourceSmart AuSSI Vic is the framework that brings together sustainability educators/facilitators and organisations.

It provides a holistic approach to sustainability. It integrates educational, environmental, social and economic outcomes so that schools do not see each area in isolation but as components of the bigger picture of sustainability. Find out more on the ResourceSmart AuSSI Vic website.

ResourceSmart AuSSI Vic Modules

Schools can start their ResourceSmart journey commencing with the ResourceSmart AuSSI Vic Module of their choice. The modules are designed to build on existing achievements and generate high participation of students, staff, the wider school community, environment agencies, community groups and other organisations.

There are five ResourceSmart AuSSI Vic Modules:

The Core Module is about strategic and action planning across school operations, learning & teaching and community engagement.

Four Resource Modules - implementing actions across specific resource areas:

• Biodiversity Module
• Energy Module
• Waste Module
• Water Module

ResourceSmart Certification Tools

For each ResourceSmart AuSSI Vic Module there is a Certification Tool. 

Verification of any module will gain the school a ResourceSmart AuSSI Vic Certificate of Achievement that is valid for three years.
