In this site you will learn about electricity, water, wastewater and natural gas. It is a site is for students and teachers. As well as resources for students, there is a teacher’s section to help develop electricity, gas, water and wastewater.
The Australian Research Institute in Education for Sustainability (ARIES) website
ARIES undertakes research in Education for Sustainability across various sectors including business / industry, local government education, community education, school, further and higher education.
CERES website
The Centre for Education and Research in Environmental Strategies (CERES) operates a community environment park in Melbourne. They provide a range of practical sustainability focused education programs, including Sustainable Schools within Victoria.
CSIRO Land and Water website
The education area of CSIRO Land and Water’s website has information for students, teachers and school projects. It combines information about land and water issues, such as Water in Australia, Land Use Options, Water Reuse, Salinty & Sustainability.
Gould League website
The Gould League has been educating Australian children, schools and the general community about conservation and the environment for over 90 years.
National Centre for Sustainability website
Professional Development Kit for Teachers. This toolkit includes resources such as: Train the Trainer, Teacher Resources, and interesting Case Studies from the water industry, a crocodile farm, the banking and insurance sectors and more.
National Solar Schools Program website
The Federal Government provides funding of up to $50,000 for schools tackling climate change & water conservation by installing solar power systems, rainwater tanks and a range of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures.
The School Environment Education Directory (SEED) - North East region of Victoria
SEED has been developed to help teachers integrate teaching sustainability into their everyday practices. The web-based directory is a one-stop-shop for teachers and students to easily access regional, state, national and global resources related to water, biodiversity, waste, sustainability and energy.
Victorian Association for Environmental Education
VAEE is a not-for-profit, independent, membership based organisation, providing leadership and a voice for the environmental education sector within Victoria. VAEE offers professional support to, and promotes the development of, environmental education and sustainable behaviour change in both the formal education and community settings.
