Being water efficient is important for all Victorians.  It helps your household and business become resilient to climate change and helps to save on water and energy costs.

The Victorian Government has in place a range of initiatives designed to help you make your homes, businesses and farms more water efficient. 

The Living Victoria Water Rebate program provides rebates for households and for small business.

Your local water corporation will also have many programs to help you reduce your water use around your home and in your garden – check out their website.

Victoria's farmers are among the most water efficient in the world. While irrigators currently use 77 per cent of the state’s water, the $2 billion Northern Victorian Irrigation Renewal Project will save the equivalent of half the water used by Victorian households each year.

Water is a valuable resource and to use it sustainably, efficient water use must be a lifelong habit for every Victorian.
