Vision for Werribee Plains
The Government’s Vision for Werribee Plains project is located in Melbourne’s west, a region that aims to be renowned internationally for its achievements in sustainable development.
On 12 September 2008, the Victorian Government announced a further investment of $10 million towards Stage 2 of the Vision for Werribee Plains.
Funding is currently available for projects that lead to sustainable development in the Werribee Plains region. Supported projects may include the improvement of biodiversity, access and use of public open space, water conservation, increased use of recycled water, waterway health and adaptation to climate change. Projects should be consistent with the aspirations of the Werribee Plains Regional Sustainability Framework.
