Rainfall - March 2012

Rainfall was above average for most of Victoria during March.  Rainfall in northern Victoria was particularly high compared to the long-term March average, especially in the north-east of the State.  85 sites across the State saw their highest March rainfall total on record, while several others recorded their highest March total in at least 10 years.

The highest total monthly rainfall of 336.8 mm was recorded at the Mount Hotham in north-east Victoria.  Across Melbourne, rainfall was average or slightly above average in March.
