Storage Levels - October 2006
Volumes in the major storages throughout the State reduced by 4% in October 2006 (compared with an increase of 2.9 % in October 2005).
At the end of the month, Victoria’s share of the volume in major storages throughout the State was at 26.5% of capacity, compared with 57.4% at the same time last year.
Melbourne Water's storages reduced by 2.5% in October 2006, to finish the month at 43.4% of capacity (16.8% lower than at the same time last year). Rural Water Authority storages reduced by 4.3%, to finish the month at 24.2% of capacity (32.6% lower than at the same time last year).
All basins experienced a reduction in volume (ranging between 0.2 – 6.7%) during the month.
