Storage Levels - February 2008
Volumes in the major storages throughout the State decreased by 1.7% in February. Victoria’s share of the volume in major storages in the State was at 22.4% of capacity, compared with 15.3% at the same time last year.

In northern and western Victoria, volumes in the major storages decreased in all but the Campaspe and Loddon basins during February, with Lake Eppalock recording an increase in storage levels due to deliveries from the Superpipe. Storage volumes also declined in the major storages in southern Victoria in February. The decline of storage volumes, particularly in northern Victoria, is due to demand for irrigation and generally low inflows. Storage volumes remain very low in central and northern Victoria.
