Restrictions on Diversions - October 2007

On this page

Rosters and restrictions on diversions from unregulated streams

At the end of October, diversions from a total of 125 streams and lakes across the State were subject to some form of restriction, which is comparable to this time last year when 134 streams were on restriction.

The number of streams on restrictions in northern Victoria remained steady. Goulburn-Murray Water introduced one new irrigation ban for a stream in the Mitta catchment.

Bans on diversions from all unregulated streams in the Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water region remain in force.

In southern Victoria, Melbourne Water introduced new irrigation bans for 5 streams and restrictions on the Yarra River. Southern Rural Water introduced Stage 1 rosters for 6 streams.
