Urban Water Restrictions - November 2007

There were a number of changes to urban water restrictions during November. Key changes included the following:

  • Wannon Water reduced Stage 4 restrictions to Stage 3 for Hamilton, Cavendish, Dunkeld and Tarrington and to Stage 2 for Glenthompson.
  • North East Water increased Stage 3 restrictions to Stage 4 (with exemptions) for Devenish, St James and Tungamah.
  • Central Highlands Water increased Stage 2 restrictions to Stage 3 for Allendale, Broomfield, Kingston, Newlyn, Smeaton and Springmount.

The total number of Victorian towns on restriction as at 30 November was 375 of which 63 towns are on Stage 1, 49 are on Stage 2, 19 are on Stage 3, 18 are on Stage 3a, 111 are on Stage 4 with general exemptions and 115 are on Stage 4.

Barwon Water announced that it will introduce Stage 2 restrictions for Apollo Bay, Skenes Creek and Marengo in December 2007. North East Water announced that it will introduce exemptions to Stage 4 restrictions in Bundalong from 1 December 2007.
