Urban Water Restrictions - December 2007
There were a number of changes to urban water restrictions during December. Key changes included the following:
- Barwon Water introduced Stage 2 restrictions for Apollo Bay, Skenes Creek and Marengo.
- Gippsland Water reduced Stage 4 restrictions to Stage 1 for Coongulla and Glenmaggie.
- Central Highlands Water reduced Stage 3 restrictions to Stage 2 for Daylesford, Hepburn and Hepburn Springs.
- North East Water introduced exemptions to Stage 4 restrictions in Bundalong and increased restrictions for Goorambat from Stage 1 to Stage 2.
- Goulburn Valley Water reduced restrictions from Stage 4 to Stage 1 for its towns supplied from the Murray system.
- Western Water reduced Stage 3 restrictions to Stage 2 for Lancefield.
The total number of Victorian towns on restriction as at 31 December was 378 of which 73 towns were on Stage 1, 57 were on Stage 2, 15 were on Stage 3, 18 were on Stage 3a, 103 on Stage 4 with general exemptions and 112 on Stage 4.
