Storage Levels - February 2009

Storages levels across Victoria continued to decline after very low rainfall throughout February.

At the end of the month, the total volume in the state’s major storages was 15.4% of capacity. This is a decrease of 2% over the month.

Melbourne's storages decreased by 2.2% during the month to finish at 30.9% of capacity. This is 4.5% lower than at the same time last year.

Regional water storages decreased by 2% to finish the month at 13.3% of capacity.
