Restrictions on Diversions - December 2008

Rosters and restrictions on diversions from unregulated streams.
At the end of December, diversions from a total of 134 unregulated streams and lakes across the state were subject to some form of restriction. This is similar to this time last year when 133 streams were on restriction. See Appendix B for details.
- In northern Victoria, Goulburn-Murray Water introduced irrigation bans on Simmonds Creek in the Kiewa basin, Cudgewa Creek in the Murray basin and Reedy Creek in the Ovens basin.
- Bans on diversions from all unregulated streams in the GWMWater region remained in force.
- In southern Victoria, Melbourne Water introduced restrictions on Little Yarra River, Yarra River (Upper and Lower) and Woori Yallock Creek, and introduced an irrigation ban on Darebin Creek and Hoddles Creek. Southern Rural Water made no changes to the number of streams on roster or restriction during December.
