Storage Levels - November 2011

The total volume of water in most of Victoria’s major storages decreased marginally this month; the first decrease since May this year.  By the end of November, Victoria’s major storages were at 87.7% of total capacity.

The total volume in regional Victoria’s major storages fell by 0.7% to 91.6%.

However, the small increases in Melbourne’s storage levels were recorded, with levels rising 1.6% to 63.5% of capacity.  Thomson Reservoir, Melbourne’s key drought reserve, finished the month at 53.5% full, with plenty of room for improvement if a wet summer season eventuates.
