Streamflows - October 2011
Below average rainfalls across much of Victoria during October, particularly north of the Divide, impacted end-of-month stream flows at many stations.
This month, there were no stations that recorded flows above 80% of the October average at the end of the month. Five stations recorded flows below 10% of the October average, however, none of the stations recorded zero flows. Six stations recorded flows between 60 and 79% of the long-term October average; all were located in Gippsland except Moorabool River at Batesford. The remaining 17 stations recorded flows between 10 and 59% of the long-term October average.
End of the month flows at all stations were higher than the historical minimum for October and the average flows recorded for October of the 2006/07 drought.
