Urban Water Restrictions - September 2011
On 23 September, Lower Murray Water removed Stage 3 restrictions for Robinvale, following the completion of works on the town’s Water Treatment Plant. On 30 September, Central Highlands Water removed Stage 2 restrictions for six towns supplied by the Forest Hill supply system.
At the end of the month, 26 Victorian towns were subject to water restrictions. At the same time last year, 238 towns were subject to water restrictions. Close to 470 towns across Victoria were subject to restrictions during the peak of the drought in 2007.
Over 490 Victorian towns are not on restrictions currently, but are subject to permanent water savings rules.
