Storage Levels - September 2011

The total volume of water in most of Victoria’s major storages increased during September.  By the end of September, Victoria’s major storages had risen to 86.9% of total capacity. 

The total volume in regional Victoria’s major storages rose by 1.5% to 91.1% during September. 

Melbourne’s storage levels only increased slightly during September, rising 0.9% to 62.1% of capacity.  Thomson Reservoir, Melbourne’s key drought reserve, finished the month at 49.8% full, with plenty of room for improvement over the remainder of spring.
