Rainfall - September 2008
Victoria experienced a very warm and dry September, with daytime temperatures above and total rainfall below the long-term average across most of the state. Rainfall was very much below average in northwest, central and southeast Victoria.
The highest monthly rainfall total of 146.2 mm was again recorded at Mount Baw Baw. Twenty-nine rainfall recording sites experienced their lowest September rainfall on record and a further 65 sites experienced their lowest rainfall in the past 20 years.
Melbourne received 21% of the normal total rainfall for September.
