Storage Levels - August 2011

The total volume of water in most of Victoria’s major storages increased during August.  By the end of August, Victoria’s major storages had risen to 85.5% of total capacity. 

The total volume in regional Victoria’s major storages rose by 3.7% to 89.7% during August. 

Melbourne’s storage levels increased by 2.0% to 61.2%.  Thomson Reservoir, Melbourne’s key drought reserve, finished the month at 48.3% full, with plenty of room for improvement during the spring season.
