Restrictions on Diversions - July 2011

On this page

Rosters and restrictions on diversions from unregulated streams.

At the end of July, only four unregulated streams and lakes across the state were subject to restrictions.  As a result of the consistent rainfall during 2010/11 to date, this is the lowest number of unregulated waterways on restriction for more than five years. It is significantly lower than the same time last year when over 130 streams and lakes were subject to rosters or bans.

  • One ban remained in place in Goulburn-Murray Water’s Broken basin at the end of July.
  • There were no bans in Melbourne Water’s jurisdictions at the end of July.
  • There were no bans in GWMWater’s region at the end of July.
  • There were no bans or restrictions in Southern Rural Water’s region at the end of July.
