Storage Levels - March 2011

This month, the total volume of water in most of Victoria’s major storages decreased compared to the end of February.  However, increases in Victoria’s share of Dartmouth and Lake Victoria in the Murray system were enough to boost Victoria’s overall storage position by 0.5% despite the decreases elsewhere.

By the end of March, Victoria’s major storages were at 77.9% of total capacity.  The volume of water in regional storages around Victoria increased by 0.8% to 82.3%.

Melbourne’s storage levels decreased by 1.0% to 52.5% during March.
