Rainfall - December 2010
Rainfall was well above average across most of the State during December, with Victoria recording its fifth wettest December on record.
Rainfall stations in western Victoria recorded the highest total December rainfall ever recorded. More than 35 stations recorded their highest rainfall total in at least 20 years.
The highest rainfall of 274.2 mm was recorded at Mt Buller in the Alpine region. Notably, total rainfall in western.
Victorian towns, such as Mildura and Horsham, was more than five times the December average for those stations.
Rainfall in the Melbourne region was average or above average.
