Rainfall - November 2010
Rainfall was well above average across most of the State during November.
Rainfall stations around Mildura and the Loddon and Campaspe catchments recorded the wettest November on record. About half of the stations in the Mallee region of Victoria recorded more than three times their usual November rainfall.
Rainfall for parts of Gippsland and East Gippsland was average or below average.
Rainfall totals across the State were very high compared to recent years; however, the highest rainfall of 797.6 mm was recorded at Mt Hotham in the Alpine region.
Rainfall in the Melbourne region was well above average for November, providing a significant boost to streamflows and storage levels in the Werribee, Maribyrnong and Moorabool catchments which have been very dry since late 1996.
