Restrictions on Diversions - September 2010

Rosters and restrictions on diversions from unregulated streams.

At the end of September, diversions from a total of 27 unregulated streams and lakes across the state were subject to restrictions. This is the lowest number of unregulated waterways on restriction since 2006/07. 

  • In northern Victoria, Goulburn-Murray Water had restrictions or irrigation bans in place on six streams in the Kiewa basin, five in the Loddon, three in the Murray and one in the Campaspe.
  • Melbourne Water had irrigation bans in place on two streams in the Yarra basin.
  • GWM Water had an irrigation ban in place for irrigators on Lake Natimuk.
  • Southern Rural Water had irrigation bans in place on five streams in the Westernport/Port Phillip region, one stream in the Gippsland region and five lakes in the Western region.
