Restrictions on Diversions - August 2010

Rosters and restrictions on diversions from unregulated streams.
At the end of August, diversions from a total of 97 unregulated streams and lakes across the state were subject to restrictions. This is the lowest number of unregulated waterways on restriction since 2006/07.
- In northern Victoria, Goulburn-Murray Water removed irrigation bans on eight streams in the Campaspe basin, 12 streams in the Loddon basin, two in the Mitta basin, one in the Kiewa basin, one in the Murray basin, one in the Broken basin and two in the Ovens basin during August.
- Melbourne Water removed bans on four streams. There are now no bans on diversion from unregulated waterways managed by Melbourne Water.
- Bans on diversions from all unregulated streams in the GWMWater region remained in force.
- Southern Rural Water removed restrictions on three streams.

Stage 3 = 50% reduction
Stage 4 = 75% reduction

From May 2010 the monthly report will only show streams on restrictions.
