Rainfall - August 2010
Rainfall during August was well above the long-term August average across most of Victoria. Small areas of Gippsland received average rainfall.
The highest monthly rainfall of 628.0 mm was recorded at Weeaproinah in the Otways region. Mount William in the Grampians recorded the second highest total monthly rainfall for Victoria in August, recording 312.0 mm.
Nineteen stations recorded their highest ever rainfall total for August, while a further 55 stations recorded the highest August totals for at least 20 years.
Rainfall for most of Melbourne was above average during August.
