Restrictions on Diversions - July 2010

Rosters and restrictions on diversions from unregulated streams.
At the end of July, diversions from a total of 132 unregulated streams and lakes across the state were subject to restrictions. This is close to the same time last year when 139 streams were on restriction.
- In northern Victoria, Goulburn-Murray Water removed irrigation bans on two streams in the Goulburn basin, two in the Kiewa basin, two in the King basin, one in the Loddon basin and one in the Ovens basin during July.
- Melbourne Water introduced an irrigation ban on one stream, and removed an irrigation ban on one stream.
- Bans on diversions from all unregulated streams in the GWMWater region remained in force.
- Current bans on diversions from streams in Southern Rural Water’s regions remained in force.

Stage 4 = 75% reduction

From May 2010 the monthly report will only show streams on restrictions.
