Restrictions on Diversions - April 2010

Rosters and restrictions on diversions from unregulated streams.
At the end of April, diversions from a total of 153 unregulated streams and lakes across the state were subject to restrictions. This is less than the same time last year when 193 streams were on restriction.
- In northern Victoria, Goulburn-Murray Water removed irrigation bans on two streams in the Ovens basin and one stream in the King basin. Restrictions were introduced for two streams in the King basin.
- Melbourne Water removed irrigation bans on six streams during April.
- Bans on diversions from all unregulated streams in the GWMWater region remained in force.
- Southern Rural Water removed bans for 3 streams in the Gippsland zone, and introduced or increased bans and restrictions for nine other streams in the Gippsland and Western zones.
