Urban Water Restrictions - February 2010
There were very few changes to urban water restrictions during February. Gippsland Water introduced Stage 2 restrictions for Seaspray on 19 February because Merrimans Creek ceased to flow. North East Water increased Stage 1 restrictions for Glenrowan to Stage 2, as inflows to storages had decreased.
At the end of February, 252 Victorian towns were on restrictions. Of these, 90 were on Stage 1 restrictions, 17 on Stage 2, 42 on Stage 3, 19 on Stage 3a, 66 on Stage 4 with general exemptions and 18 on Stage 4. Approximately 270 towns were not on water restrictions but were subject to Permanent Water Saving Rules.
