Rainfall - July 2008
After a very dry autumn, Victoria experienced a cold and wet July with average rainfall totals across the state.
Rainfall of up to 200 mm was widespread in the Alpine region and coastal areas of the Western and South Gippsland districts. Total rainfall between 50 to 100 mm was recorded across much of southern Victoria. Rainfall was lower in the north where 15 to 50 mm was received.
The highest monthly rainfall total of 227 mm was recorded at Weeaproinah in the Otways region. The lowest monthly total of 18.6 mm was recorded at Mildura Airport in the Mallee district.
Melbourne received 93% of the normal total rainfall for July.
