Storage Levels - November 2009
The rain at the end of the month helped to hold storage levels reasonably steady.
The total volume in the state’s major storages decreased by 0.3% to 28.1% of capacity.
Melbourne’s storage levels fluctuated over the month. However, by the end of November storages were 0.1% above the levels at the end of October, finishing the month at 38.0% of capacity. This is 3.9% higher than the same time last year.
Overall, regional water storages decreased by 0.4% to 26.7% of capacity at the end of November. However, very slight improvements on the previous month were seen in some of the recently drier systems, such as the Werribee, Loddon, Broken, Ballarat and Bendigo systems.
