Restrictions on Diversions - November 2009

On this page

Rosters and restrictions on diversions from unregulated streams.

At the end of November, diversions from a total of 120 unregulated streams and lakes across the state were subject to restrictions. This is lower than the same time last year when 125 streams were on restriction.

  • In northern Victoria, Goulburn-Murray Water reinstated Irrigation Bans on three streams in the Goulburn catchment and one stream in the Kiewa Basin. Stage 3 pumping rosters were introduced to two streams in the Kiewa Basin and two streams in the King Basin.
  • Melbourne Water has removed pumping bans on five streams and introduced restrictions on one stream during November.
  • Bans on diversions from all unregulated streams in the GWMWater region remained in force.
  • Southern Rural Water did not make any changes to the restrictions on diversions this month.
