Storage Levels - April 2009

Storage levels across Victoria continued to decline throughout April and remain very low in central and northern Victoria. The Bendigo and Ballarat storages increased due to deliveries from the Superpipe.

This month, the total volume in the state’s major storages decreased by 1.4% to 12.5% of capacity.

Melbourne's storages decreased by 1.3% over the month to 27.8% of capacity. This is 3.7% lower than at the same time last year.

Regional water storages decreased by 1.4% to 10.6% of capacity at the end of April.
