Restrictions on Diversions - May 2008

Rosters and restrictions on diversions from unregulated streams.
At the end of May 2008, diversions from a total of 168 streams and lakes across the state were subject to some form of restriction. This is less than at the same time last year when 207 streams were on restriction.
In northern Victoria, Goulburn-Murray Water reduced restrictions on Tallangatta Creek and removed restrictions on the Indi River and Nariel Creek during May.
Bans on diversions from all unregulated streams in the GWMWater region remained in force.
In southern Victoria, Melbourne Water introduced restrictions in Darebin Creek, reduced restrictions on the Little Yarra River, and removed restrictions on the Don River and Olinda Creek.
