Construction
AquaSure’s construction contractor for the pipeline and power supply, Thiess Degrémont Nacap, will work with landowners before, during and after construction.
This includes meeting landowners to discuss construction plans and access, completing existing condition reports and surveys and preparing mitigation plans to reduce impacts on landowners.
Landowners are given at least seven days notice before construction starts on their land. Contact with landowners is ongoing throughout construction and rehabilitation.
The construction process includes:
- Introductory meetings, surveys and mitigation planning
- Preparatory works such as clearing, grading, tree trimming and fencing
- Haul road construction and pipe-stringing
- Trenching and pipe/power cable laying
- Reinstatement and rehabilitation.
