Overall the project is 81% complete with the pipeline, power supply, marine structures and intake and outlet tunnels all constructed. Work is currently focused on plant site construction, preparing to energise the power supply and pre‑commissioning of the pipeline.
Site wide, 89% of concrete has been poured and 94% of structural steel has been erected. Internal fit out of items such as wall sheeting, floor coverings, and doors, in all buildings on site in now also in progress.
Installation of the 84km water transfer pipeline for the project was completed during the month of October. Hydrotesting on the pipeline is now underway and is going well.
Workers on the easement will soon be starting to reinstate the land.
Work on the project’s booster pump station is progressing well and the power compensation and terminal stations are also nearing completion.
