The Desalination Project Information Office was opened by DSE in September 2007. More than 5000 people have visited the office. It aims to provide the community with access to information on the project as it progresses and seek feedback on issues of concern.

AquaSure is now operating the Information Centre. 

The centre has many resources including:

• the first feasibility study
• environmental study reports done in 2007
• Environment Effects Statement (EES) scoping requirements
• full EES Report, CD and summary brochure
  
• brochures and poster displays describing the proposal
• the Government’s Water Plan
• DVD presentation
• maps detailing transfer pipeline and power supply.
  

Project Information Officers are available to answer questions, discuss issues and receive feedback.

The office can cater for individuals or groups. School visits can be arranged. Teachers interested in using the project office and its resources can contact the office.
