The Victorian Government selected AquaSure to deliver the Victorian Desalination Project following a competitive tendering process managed by DSE.

AquaSure brings together leaders in the fields of infrastructure design, construction and finance.

• Suez Environnement/Degrémont – a world leader in reverse osmosis desalination technology
• Thiess and Thiess Services – a leading engineering, tunnelling and civil contractor, and
• Macquarie Capital – a global investment, advisory and securities firm.
  

AquaSure has two major contracting entities engaged to design and construct, and operate and maintain the project. Thiess Degrémont, in turn, has three key subcontractors.

Design and Construction

Thiess Degrémont has been formed to manage the design and construction phase for the plant, pipeline and power supply.

Thiess Degrémont Nacap Joint Venture has been engaged by Thiess Degrémont to build the pipeline and power supply. Thiess has been engaged to undertake marine and tunnel construction.
PB Beca Joint Venture have been engaged by Thiess Degrémont Joint Venture to deliver the design for the project.

Operation and Maintenance

Degrémont Thiess Services will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the plant and pipeline to July 2039.
